How to Negotiate Your Salary (Without Losing the Offer)

Negotiating a few minutes can add lakhs (or thousands) over a year. Most offers have room — here's how to ask.

1. Research your market rate

2. Let them name a number first

When possible, get their range before you anchor. Then aim near the top of it.
